After nine seasons in the NFL, Calvin Johnson is considering his retirement.
According to a report from ESPN, Johnson told a close circle of friends and family before the season that 2015 would be his last. And despite no official announcement as of Monday morning, it appears that Johnson will stand by his decision.
The news of "Megatron" hanging it up at 30 obviously came as a shock to the NFL community, but not many players had a classier response than Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson.
He tweeted a farewell message of support for Johnson on Sunday.
Peterson has gone up against Johnson for four straight seasons, and it produced some epic battles. That tweet was a great response that showed just how much respect Peterson has for Johnson as a competitor.
