Last year, Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tyrann Mathieu donated $1 million to LSU and it was set to go to the football operations building.
The announcement was made during the Alabama game last year. Now, LSU is naming a place in that building in Mathieu's honor.
In the LSU Board of Supervisors agenda for a Sept. 8 meeting, the board is being asked to approve the renaming of the LSU players' lounge inside the football ops building to the Mathieu Players' Lounge.
The Board is expected to approve the proposal.

Another former LSU defensive back with the Cardinals, Patrick Peterson, is also in the agenda.
Peterson made a $1 million donation to LSU in 2015. His donations were also set to go to the football ops building and it was announced at the time that the weight room was going to be named the Peterson-Roberts Weight Room, as local businessman Dave Roberts made a $1 million pledge towards the efforts.
That name change is also expected to be approved by the Board next week.
